I think you find a bug.
Remove the / in keywords....
I did some minor change on your gallery.
You could remove my Admin rights.

If it solves please open a bug in our bug tracker (See Contribute link in header).

I did this install with less images, the 92 tags is probably correct. There are only 23 images tagged, with indeed total 42 associations. the other 77 images do have IPTC keywords, but no tags (associations).

Feel free to snoop around the site.

That will be difficult, as I'm currently only running this locally.

Also, I's not related to a single image, but it stopped after 13 images when doing a synchronize. all others aren't tagged (but the IPTC is read).

In addition to the above statement.

I import the IPTC keywords individually, through the edit image screen. There I can hit the "Synchronize Metadata" button under the image icon.

However, as I said, the normal synchronize does not work fully. It only associates the first  few, not more.
