As the removal on Gna has not been performed, I've manually ask mailing-list deletions, I've added a "news" and changed to description

https://gna.org/projects/phpwebgallery/

I've asked Piwigo project deletion on Gna! see my support request

Completely leaving Gna is very near. I have migrated the newsletters to our server:

- the subscription form is on the download page http://piwigo.org/downloads
- previously registered email addresses have been copied into the new system
- the newsletter archive has been copied into the "announcement" section on the forum (with the correct date of course)

Welcome back rvelices!

Don't forget to send me your htpasswd string, or else you won't be able to commit (but you don't need it for checkout)

Quick question I tried to switch my branch 2 working copy (that I modified and I'm using on my site) with

Code:

svn switch --relocate

but I get an error because the repository uuid has changed between the old and the new. Any idea ?
thanks

Unfortunately, I forgot to keep the uuid during migration (nicolas has reported me the problem, but it was already too late). As a consequence, you just can't "relocate". You have to perform a new checkout and copy your local modifications inside :-/ Sorry for this

So instead of:

From: ddtddt  piwigo.org
Subject: [Piwigo r3263] Add pt_PT thanks to sergio

We replace with:

From: svn_notifier piwigo.org
Subject: [Piwigo r3263 by ddtddt] Add pt_PT thanks to sergio

The drawback is that you can't simply "reply" to the email if you want to discuss with ddtddt about this commit (this is something I often do, ie replying to SVN commits notification emails)

Since there is not a unique sender, can you add "SVN" keyword either in subject or in From: field ? Gmail doesn't handle [] in subject to filter :-/

TY

Are you sure?

Yes I am. I've made a few commits tonight and I've received an email for each of them. You're in the same list, you should receive the email the same way.

Great!

Because I don't receive mail in my 2 address. (one daily and the other on each commit).

The problem has been reported several times to Trac development team, and the answer is that they can't add the author's name if Trac doesn't know the corresponding email address. I think they should do like Mantis : simply add "@example.com" at the end of the username.

So...
But I don't really understand their problem... ;-)

After several minutes of brainstorming, I don't think that a newsletter system is what we need concerning the Subversion commits notification : a newsletter is not an email forwarding system and we don't need to archive the SVN notification, it already in SVN log.

(we will need a newsletter system for the announcement list, but it's another problem)

So my current opinion is that we need a basic system : subscribe/unsubscribe (with confirmation). The Subversion hook send an email to each subscribed email.

I need to think a bit more about this but if you have ideas, please share :-)

How I can be notified to new commit?

It's the next step.

First easy way : subscribe to Trac Timeline RSS feed.

I can also add a hook in the Subversion repository that will send a email to all commiters on each commit.

But the goal is to have a mailing-list where anybody can subscribe to and which keeps some archives. The Subversion hook will send a single email to the mailing-list.

So the next action is either to find a mailing-list service or a install a newsletter system on the server (like phplist).
