Great news!
How did you proceed to make Piwigo behaves as expected? Did you only modify the picture.tpl template? Did you also add some PHP code at picture.php level?
Once we will now what you changed in Piwigo, we will be able to tell you how to make it a clean extension and share it on piwigo.org/ext :-)
Okies I'm done! But how can I make it a plugin/addon for piwigo?

Don't hesitate to share your work or to give a screenshot of it :-) It's 100% sure many people are interested in such a plugin!
Okies. ^^
Updates: made some progress on it, but it's still far from finished.

You see a demo. Resize your browser window, you will see that the photo is resized to fit your screen.
Bump. I would really like this.
Is there a plugin or javascript script that resizes the image based on user's screen max viewing capabilities when the image is too big for them?
