I already stated that there is no such folder .pLoader not even close to that.
I even searched my hole system drive using the Search tool of Win7.
I did not used installer I just download pLoader as zip file and extracted it in a folder.
Strange isn't?

I run this version as well.
The results is:

"Runtime Package error"
"Can't load 'C/temp/piwigo/PLOADE~16W/lib/pLoader_16_0951.dll' for the module Wx:

Same here.
I'm running the latest pLoader-2.0.7c_win that I downloaded as a zip file.
The machine runs on Win7 home premium 64bit.

I run the pLoader.exe in the bin folder.
It wouldn't start. Tryed to change the incompatibility issue, changed to windows Xp SP3 with admin rights.
No dat file in my user folder to delete.
There must be some solution

I am now having trouble startin pLoader. It worked fine until I upgraded to 2.3.3.  Now when I launch pLoader I get the login prompt but then when I log in, the app exits without any message.  It was working about 10 minutes ago right before upgrading so I am pretty sure it is related.

I deleted the C:/Users/<your user>/AppData/Local/ploader folder and its started working again :)

Only on day 2 of using Piwigo, but loving it already

Thanks for the heads on this as I thought I had screwed somethig up :)

It worked fine for me. I have windows 7 32bit

When ever it has been troublesome opening it, I delete the dat file as mentioned above, I also go in and delete the temporary thumbnail folder.  This allways works.

But since you have problems even starting it once, maybe it has something to do with rights?
Logged in as administrator? Try right click on pLoader.exe > properties > compatibility and set to winXP or  Vista. Oh, and if you have Skype open, try closing it.

Good luck

same here - I tried it on XP [sp3] and absolutely nothing.  It doesn't install at all.

the exe file in the bin directory just sits there, no action on click or double click or open etc.
ergo, there are no files created in C: drive either.
Tried just  about everything, rebooting, I am the administrator, show hidden files and so on.

I see that I am not the only one that cannot install this app. :(:(

I did the same as you just the zip. So i guess that folder gets created when you first run pLoader

You are right, if they do not exist,  pLoader creates these folder and files at startup, and they are hidden by default.

Under XP the location is : C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\.pLoader

and for Vista/Seven : C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\.pLoader

I had a look on the Windows 7 PC also at the Win XP installation. On both there were no folders from ploader. It's really strange. I'll test it on my laptop tomorrow on work.
