I'm not sure that is what you want to do ... but for Wordpress, there is a PiwigoPress plugin that allows to display thumbnails from your Piwigo gallery on your Wordpress blog.
Not a CMS site, a regular website actually!
I understand what you're looking for, but I don't know of any other read-made solution apart from the WordPress plugin.
But maybe a developer will have something to advise.

well but I wanted to say is this: I have a regular website, not a CMS site, but I want to include on my homepage thumbnails of the recent galleries like (http://www.imdb.com/ on the snapshot section in the middle). and also I would like to display in different pages thumbnails of each category (not the whole gallery itself just as an example the first 8 pictures for each category)...so I was wondering if there is a script to do that or I would have to add the pictures manually with their links to piwigo! and example of the last: I have an article or a text in one of my webpages called Green Cows, so I want to show in that page not only the text itself but I also would like to show the fist 5 thumbnails in the category Green Cows in piwigo! I do not know if I made myself clear about this...I am sorry for my poor English skills! one again I want to thank you for all of this (I tried gallery2, not matter what people say G2 is not as customizable and good as piwigo is)

Hi Arturo, welcome to Piwigo forums,
I don't understand what you exactly want to achieve. Can you be more precise? (an example is always a good way to make things clear).
I wanna thank you for this great script. Also I would like to know how to display thumbnail from piwigo in a different page (like in a home page of a website) depending on the category you want to show.
