Hi Stuart "broadstairs",

The webserver unix process must have write access to:

* _data <= this one is really mandatory
* local/combined  <= this one is really mandatory
* local/config if you want the install script to create the database.inc.php file, you can also copy it on your own
* upload if you don't add photos with the FTP+synchronization method
* themes if you want to install themes from Piwigo administration
* plugins if you want to install plugins from Piwigo administration

Hi, is this list valid for 2.4.1 version? I can't change the permissions by myself (I have to ask my provider for every change). So I want to make sure everything will work after upgrade from 2.3.4.

Thanks
Karel

I need to know what directories should have what permissions in order for Piwigo to run. My hosting company has smoe restrictions about what permissions are allowed  for directories and files in the web root, normally all chmod 777 files have to be in a directory which is not directly accessible from web root for security reasons. This is not an issue with any php code I have generated myself but I am having problems installing Piwigo, the net install wont work because of permissions and when I tried a manual install it still does not work. So I need to know exactly what permssions are required for which directories for normal operation.
