For reasons to do with the location of the pictures, I prefer to have the maps open in 'SATELLITE' view instead of 'ROADMAP'

So I changed the following files in the template directory replacing 'ROADMAP' with 'SATELLITE'
- map.tpl - line 50
- page linker.js - lines 30/54
- picture map content.tpl - line 47.

But I seem to have missed something.

When I look at the category to see all the pictures on a map using the map icon, the map displays OK and is Satellite view.

However when I try to look at a map of the individual picture using the map icon I get the following error

- Fatal error: Smarty error: [in /home2/webi8726/public_html/lumix/gallery/demo23/plugins/rv_gmaps/include/../template/picture_map_content.tpl line 6]: syntax error: unrecognized tag 'html_style' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 590) in /home2/webi8726/public_html/lumix/gallery/demo23/include/smarty/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1093

I' not familiar with Smarty and am confused by the error.

Can someone enlighten me as to what the problem is.

Thanks.

OK - I figured out the issue I was asking about in previous post

I have downloaded and installed in Piwi V2.3.4.

I have a few questions and wondered if there is anywhere that I can find more detailed information about the extent of this plugin features and settings.

For example ;

- In the edit panel it says
'The images will be "clustered" based on this number and the visible region on the map'
I assumed this meant that markers for more than one image would show up in the map, but when I view a location of an image it only shows the marker for the location of the image, no other markers for nearby images show up.

- In the edit panel it says
'When a marker is clicked, the user will be able to navigate images in the info window. This data is sent to the browser once for all the markers. If you have many images, reduce this number in order to reduce traffic and speed up data decoding on the browser side.'
I assume this is referring to the marker on the map at the location for the image, but nothing happens when I click the marker.

I was hoping that the map would show all co-ordinate tagged images in the gallery on the map (- like Smugmug does)

Perhaps I mis-understand the above and it would be useful if someone could clarify.

Thanks

starting from plugin version 2.3.b there is no need for the api key anymore.
what is your piwigo version and plugin version ?

I think the old keys were domain/website specific. I tried using my first key with a newer domain and got an error from google. Had to go get another key. Haven't been able to get either to work on a newer domain.

I'm using API key. But it's one I've had for a long time. No idea what to use if google doesn't have the api anymore.

I've just downloaded this plugin and am required to enter a Google Maps API Key, which can be found at: code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html
However, Google advises that these API keys are no longer available.
Please advise what code I should use and how I can acquire it.
Thanks
