Thanks Flop - glad to see the expert is back!   Yes I still had a little trouble but it was not major.  Let me get back to it and get more details.  From what I remember not ALL the fonts were changing as expected.

I will get back with more details.

Thanks.

Flop-

I finally got this to partially work.  It changes the font on the thumbnails and "sub"-menus however the main menu fonts remain the same default as before, such as "Menu » Home" and "Albums". Also the top of each page displaying photo the font is still same as before.

Thanks.

That's all, surely it can't be that difficult.

I think what JohnLC is saying is that he would like a GUI solution.  He wants to be able to use his mouse to select settings from a pull-down menu or fields in a configuration page that has options to change the look and feel of the webpage.  Something like a Windows user would be expecting.  Just a point and click on options that have been predetermined for him by the developers.

And JohnLC, the reason you got the "file does not exist" message is because the file was being created to record your changes.  After that, any other changes you may want to make that needs that file would then open the file.  It is similar to a pull down menu on a Windows machine in Explorer where you click with your mouse on "New file."

Also JohnLC, a little consideration for the difference between Piwigo and a Windows program is due here.  This is not a Windows program, this is web implementation of a script that is based on a basic core that can be modified with addition of plugins and themes.   As such the core is kept as basic as possible to allow as much modification as possible to exist.  This allows a freedom of expression to exist with each and every implementation of Piwigo.  You are not being constrained with the limits of predetermined GUI choices.

As ddtddt said we can't help you without any precision : you say to a professional, 'I want to change the color of my car' he will give you help on how to do by yourself since you don't say any color, any part of the car to paint etc.
If you come here and say "I would like the tittle in yellow and this font (link to a font)" well we could give you a full solution ;)

I appreciate the link above, but like many other folks I have no interest in learning to write code. Surely someone here can reply with a very simplified answer. There seems to be a lot of snoobness here towards folks that are coming to this forum for simple answers. I find it hard to believe there is not a simple answer regarding how to change the stinking default font for a theme.

Folks here reply very quick but the answers I have seen are many times vague and obscured. I have searched many times for the above subject and found the questions such as font changes never really answered with a quick and simple solution.

I'm giving piwigo a shot on my hosted server but may just stick with zen folio, at least fonts and colors are simple without the need to learn HTML and CSS coding.

Thanks to those for the timely responses.
