Re: watermark on pictures

It is noted somewhere, on pLoader roadmap I think and not as a plugin.
Ron, could you confirm that point?

Re: watermark on pictures

I've also seen this feature request somewhere in the forum, but not in the bugtracker. platini76, can you create a feature request?

Thank you for [Bugtracker] ticket 982

If I read you correctly, you mean you don't want to prepare the photo with a watermark on it. So I'm not sure pLoader is the solution.

I've just read http://www.sitepoint.com/article/watermark-images-php/ and I wonder if it would not be smart to have a "watermark" setting at user level. If the user is set to "watermark" ON, then you display the watermarked (generated on the fly and cached) photo. If the watermark is OFF then you display the uploaded photo. What do you think of this? Is that useful or you just want all watermarked? Why do you want "to add a watermark on photos without modify them"?

What about the high resolution photo, is it concerned by the watermark?

Re: watermark on pictures

About on fly watermarks...

Sure it isn't for pLoader then.
Does Google Search boot and others have to watermark on fly?
What might append if you are CPU limited?

A picture viewed 245,000 times a year needs to be watermarked 245,000 times a year... ???
This is a strong constraint, don't you think so?

Re: watermark on pictures

I would have a simple watermark system. on admin I can choose if watermark all photos or not.
I have now this function in the program I use now. (zenphoto)
it is not heavvy and very useful (no time lose to watermark pictures and all auto watermarked in the same position.
you can look at my actually gallery

platini76.altervista.org

i will probably start use piwigo when this will be implemented.

thanks
