Re: [Plugin] FacebookPlug

Hi. If I understand correctly this plugin should put a 'Like' icon/button on each picture page. I've installed on my site but nothing shows. 2.1.5 theme simple white.
I also followed your link to demo site (try) but here again no sign of 'Like' button. This leads me to wonder if it's a browser problem I use IE8. Any thoughts?
It's possible that I've completely misunderstood the use of this plugin as I'm pretty much hermatic to Facebook......but then we have to try and keep up with the times :)

I tested with IE8 (connected and not connected to facebook):
IE8 / Demo / Box: Ok
IE8 / Demo / Comment: Ko (only connect images)
IE8 / Demo / Like: OK
IE8 / Your site / Like: OK

On my PC, I have problem with comment social plugin.

Could you try with other browser?

I also tried on another computer with same problem, no button and same presentation.

Re: [Plugin] FacebookPlug

Incidently I didn't realise that you had looked at my site! I see that it works for you......bizarre! I've tried on PC and Mac with IE8 and firefox and have no button. For me my site is as if I hadn't got the plugin, the same for your demo. The PC and Mac are not networked so only share ADSL different firewalls etc.

No facebook blocker? JS are enabled?

Could you try a facebook example page in order to know if the problem is with facebook or my plugin:

Re: [Plugin] FacebookPlug

No facebook blocker and JS is enabled.
I checked on Facebook and the samples there worked fine for me, like button, activity feed etc... :(
I would be very surprised if both my wife's Mac and my PC, which are configured totally differently, would give the same result if there wasn't a bug somewhere in the plugin. However with 400 downloads I'm surprised that I'm the only one to have problems........is there anyone else out there who has a similar problem?

Re: [Plugin] FacebookPlug

If facebook examples work, is that  there is a problem of my plugin.
Perharps a localisation problem! What's your language used on Piwigo?
Could you send or post me the html code from your site or my demo?

Re: [Plugin] FacebookPlug

OK   You are close! I can switch language on my site and effectively in French the plugin appears to work......I haven't checked it out in detail yet. Not sure what you want when you request html code from my site...you can see this in IE8 page source code? I can copy it if you like? I have also tested on your demo site which works fine in French........probably if you switch to English which is my default language you will find the same problem.......good news as cause of problem found is a problem half solved...   ;)

Re: [Plugin] FacebookPlug

Technically, I call the script http://connect.facebook.net/<language>/all.js

Example: http://connect.facebook.net/fr_FR/all.js for french
html code change with language, it's just to the code language used.

I will review all languages in Piwigo in order to set a good or a default value and will fix that on next revision.
