I've just started to use this software in my server but I don't like very much the appearance of the galleries. I was looking for something more appealing with the brand new HTML5 and CSS3 and I found some things that I think it should not be so difficult to include in Piwigo.
I just have doubts about where to put the code. There are some php files that I may think they are what I am aiming for, but I'm not sure. Can anybody help me with this? I would test everything myself and then commit if possible and if you like it.
I suggest you to register on that forum, so you'll have notification by email and we will be able to send you private message
Then, can you describe a bite more : as far as I understand, you want to re-design one -or more- theme by default of Piwigo ?
I suggest you to create a new theme (use the docs for that), to use the svn -at the disposal of all dev of extensions-, and to publish it in the Extension Manager fo piwigo.org
Then we will talk about all the features you've brought and about it's possible integration.
If I finally get involved in the project, I'll register without doubt. Thanks for the invitation.
What I want to do is to change the way images are displayed in the webpage, I have been looking for HTML5 code in the source but I have not found any trace of it. That's what I'm aiming to do, use the new technologies provided by the new standard to build more appealing and user-friendly galleries and image viewers.
I dunno it is merely a new theme, but I'm not sure. I will read documentation in order to understand how they work, and if they have any similarity at level code with what I am thinking.
if you have any question, we're here : the English is under modification (a bite empty currently ^^)
