Adjustable max. File size for uploads
Hi,
as discussed in this thread: [Forum, topic 18368] File Size/ Pixel size Problem at user Photo upload
It would be nice to have a possibility to set the max. File size for uploads for both upload methods.
Some Hosters do not allow to edit the php.ini (where such thing could be set), therefore a possibility in Piwigo to set the file size would be very helpfull

i have exactly the same issue:
- i understand it is hard to implement a automatic resize option to piwigo
This due to issues with sql servers who do not always support this, however this would be preferrable.
-a second best option is indeed that file limits can be set for the user upload function
(admins are suspected to be capable enough)
example options: minimum pixels longest side xxxx pixels, maximum shortest side: XXX pixels
(using the max/min longest/shortest side solves the problem of panorama's and such)

Hi Joergen,
With the "Flash Uploader" it is possible to set a maximum filesize and check the filesize before upload. But with the "Browser Uploader", we only know the filesize once the file has been uploaded.
