Larger thumbnails

I'm trying to get larger thumbnails rather than the default size. I can make them larger but then the text on the initial album page overflows on top of the thumbnail.

One in the abum the thumnail image is too large for the frame and it look awful!

Thanks

Re: Larger thumbnails

Hi locopage,

With Piwigo 2.3 (the one you use right now) you have to add a few CSS rules to adapt the display. With theme dark, use LocalFiles Editor and paste this:

.content ul.thumbnails span.wrap2, .content div.thumbnailCategory div.description {height:310px;}
.content ul.thumbnails span, .content ul.thumbnails span.wrap2 a, .content ul.thumbnails label, .content div.thumbnailCategory div.illustration {width:310px;}

With the upcoming Piwigo 2.4, this should become automatic.

Re: Larger thumbnails

Ok, thanks. I'll wait for 2.4 I think. But can I enlarge the thumbnails of existing albums or would I need to reload them to get larger size?

Thanks
Phil

You can resize thumbnails at any time.

Re: Larger thumbnails

1) screen [Administration > Plugins > Manage], activate LocalFiles Editor
2) screen [Administration > Plugins > LocalFiles Editor > CSS]

Re: Larger thumbnails

This has made the whole album "box" go larger, not the thumbnail image!

Sorry

That's right.

To enlarge thumbnails:

1) go to screen [Administration > Photos > Batch Manager]
2) in the Filter section, remove all filter and add the predefined filter "All"
3) in the Filter section, click on the Refresh photo set button
4) in the Selection section, click the Select [...] The whole set link
5) in the Action section, select Regenerate Thumbnails and change the settings the way you want
6) in the Action section, click on the Apply action button
7) look at the progress bar and wait

Re: Larger thumbnails

ok, that worked, I got larger thumbnails in that section

But looking at my album they have not changed, do I have to "refresh" somewhere?

Thanks

Re: Larger thumbnails

Yes, you have to refresh the page in your web browser.
