Hello,
I'm trying to use import_tree with Piwigo 2.4.6. I'm running the following command with the following result:
Command:
C:\ploader>perl piwigo_import_tree.pl --base_url=http://192.168.1.89:81/piwigo
--user=admin --password=xxx--directory=x
Result:
malformed JSON string, neither array, object, number, string or atom, at charact
er offset 1 (before "Warning: call_user_f...") at C:/strawberry/perl/vendor/lib/
JSON.pm line 171.
I seem to have the same results whether I run the script on windows (vista) or linux (ubuntu 12.04).
In my case the web server is listening to port 81 instead of 80. Is it possible that the port specification is causing a problem? If that is ok then I could use some guidance.
Thanks,
Ken

Hi kenl,
Unfortunately the error message is not long enough. I will try to configure my web server on port 81 and see how piwigo_import_tree.pl behaves.

Hello,
I set my web server back to port 80 and I still see the error. Can you tell me if you've tried import_tree with version 2.4.6?
Otherwise, I'll try to dig into the perl and see if I can understand what is happening.

If there's any debugging assistance I can offer, please let me know. I have over 40,000 photos I'd like to add to my piwigo installation and I think Import Tree is the best way to do it.

Ok, I found the solution. I had to disable a specific plug-in called "User Info Tracking" When that plug-in is disabled the import_tree script works fine.
I will send a message to plg to see if a bug report should be made.
