I have been using Ploader 1.6 on my Windows 7 computer with v2.3.5 of Piwigo installed on the server. It is a very convenient and useful program.
Today I updated to v2.5.2 of Piwigo. I had to do a manual upgrade, because the automated update got errors.
After the upgrade, Ploader will not connect to the gallery. I get the error message "Moved permanently. Connection to http://asura.asu.edu/photos failed."
So far as I know, I didn't move anything -- just installed new software. the address in the error message is working fine as far as connecting to the gallery goes.
Any thoughts on this? There does not seem to be a good alternative for loading batches of photos to the various albums in our gallery.

It turns out this had nothing to do with the upgrade to 2.52, not surprisingly.
The problem is that the server on which I have Piwigo installed recently began requiring a secure login for FTP purposes. This, it seems, means that the address of my gallery has to be shown as https://... when uploading to it.
PLoader adds a prefix of http:// to any logon URL that does not already begin with that, so when I try to log in with the correct URL (which begins https://), I get http://https://.... Obviously, this doesn't work.
Fortunately the plugins I've tried with Lightroom and also with the free digiKam software do allow me to use the correct URL, so I have a way of batch uploading.
