I'm on piwigo 2.5.3
I ran out of disk space at my provider(have 10 GB)
What happend?
galleries/ was 2.1 gb
_data/i/ 4.5 gb
When I look, I see original files in galleries, then in _data/i/ I see different sizes from them, So switched off all sizes, only thumb and thumbsquare left, that cleaned out the _data/i/ but I was only left with thumbs to view. The original files from the galleries/ don't seem to get used.
What I see when I set it so xxl files are available. is that it creates a xx file in _data/i/ but they are bigger then the original. That is not very space efficient.

108 kb, 986*1402
in _data 324kb, 873*1242
Why cant I use the original sizes and have thumbs only?
I also see in galleries/ in some places a thumbs subdirectory, that is old?

Hello ???
If you deactive all sizes but Medium, configured bigger than original, it will use originals, and only thumbnails will be generate
(of course you must not use watermark)
thumbnails directories in galleries should be empty and are not longer used

Great that seems to work. There is no script to delete all old thumbnail folders at once?
