2.5 configuration download high_definition

I reiterate my earlier question in a more simple way

Is it possible to config the system so that:
- icon "Download this file" is activated;
- downloading of hi-def files is possible in PRIVATE albums as normally, in accordance with permissions;
- downloading of high-def files is NOT possible in PUBLIC albums for ALL users.

The idea is that public albums should be only for viewing (of resized) images.

Good day,

I would appreciate if anybody from the Piwigo Team could answer anything about my above question, like:
no, it is not possible by architecture of piwigo, or
yes, it is possible with a configuration change, or
yes it is possible by writing a plugin,
or...

then I have an idea how to proceed with this problem

if you don"t get answers, it might be because we don't have an easy solution. In fact the solution is to build a plugin. Well Now, knowing that, you can make it one using existing plugins and doc to help you.
with the $conf['original_url_protection'] set, action.php will be call for the download of the original picture (the hd) and check the permission: the file doesn't have trigger but if you need one (and you probably will) just test then tell us to implement it

Please add a trigger to action.php, so that we could check for different conditions on file download. Would be nice if it passed id as a parameter

Change action.php, test, and if you've got what you want, comme back and tell us what you did and what we should do
