VideoJS: "/dev/null: invalid argument" from ffmpeg

I moved my Piwigo installation to a new Linux server last month. Everything went smoothly but today I noticed for the first time that I can no longer generate thumbnails (posters) with VideoJS. The first problem was mediainfo and ffmpeg were missing, so I installed those.

Now, however, when trying to generate posters, VideoJS says: You ask me to do nothing, are you sure?

In my apache error.log, I see this:

Code:

ffmpeg version 2.5.8-0ubuntu0.15.04.1 Copyright (c) 2000-2015 the FFmpeg developers

What am I missing? The file is in .MP4 format and doing a regular 'ffmpeg -i <filename>' on the command-line of the server works.

Piwigo version: 2.7.4
PHP version: 5.6.4-4ubuntu6.2
MySQL version: 5.6.25-0ubuntu0.15.04.1

Re: VideoJS: "/dev/null: invalid argument" from ffmpeg

Whoops ... nevermind! Please disregard.

Somehow I missed the fact that the "create poster" checkbox had been turned off (probably when Piwigo initially detected that ffmpeg was missing). Once I turned that back on, it worked again.

I have exactly the same problem. The error appears continuously in my logs.
The system is totally unable to detect ANY video.
