Dates

Hi Folks,

Recently, Hollie took a bunch of pictures and the date and time were not correct on the camera. It there a utility to fix this? I know I can go one by one, but I think I'd rather add the right number of days to each picture, which days will be a constant for the complete set.

In fact, this is probably even easier than I feared, since the date is wrong by exactly two years.

Thanks for the help,

Chris.

Re: Dates

Hi Mystic,

I know the metadata is encoded in the image file. Does the filesystem date factor into this in any way? For example, can I tell Piwigo to use the filesystem "created date" to assert the image metadata date?

Thanks for the help,

Chris.

Re: Dates

Well of course... Piwigo will read the EXIF and/or IPTC date fields to find the creation date.

That's what XnView is for, to modify these fields.

But it's different from the "creation date" displayed by Windows, this field is not reliable and will not be read.

Re: Dates

Hi Mystic,

I don't think you understood my question. Can I tell Piwigo to use the FILESYSTEM create date to OVERRIDE the EXIM metadata?

Thanks for the help,

Chris.
