Hello/Hi/Greetings,

I'm trying to install a plugin.  I have unzipped the plugin into the plugins directory and made sure the the ownership and permissions are consistent with apache (i.e. chown -R www-data:www-data, and chmod 775 for the directories and 664 for the files). 

This plugin does not show up on the "Other plugins available" tab.  I tested one from there and it installed without issue.  If I do an ls of the plugins directory, both show up with proper permissions. 

I checked in both Google Chrome and Firefox that it's not showing up.  I've clicked through all the admin menus to be sure I didn't miss "install plugin" or something similar.

Apparently from the other questions regarding this type of problem, there is no answer other than ftp the file over and ta-da.  I'm missing something in the extensive documentation regarding plugin installation and troubleshooting. 

Any ideas?
