Hello/Hi/Greetings,
First time poster so please bare with me. I'm running Piwigo on an Ubuntu 16.04.1, Nqinx. After some tweaking for 16.04 everything was running fine. Then I upgrade to 2.8.3 and all of a sudden all my themes are erroring out. With the following errors:
Deprecated: Non-static method Smarty_Internal_Debug::display_debug() should not be called statically in /var/www/html/piwigo/include/template.class.php on line 586
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Using $this when not in object context in /var/www/html/piwigo/include/smarty/libs/sysplugins/smarty_internal_debug.php:200 Stack trace: #0 /var/www/html/piwigo/include/template.class.php(586): Smarty_Internal_Debug::display_debug(Object(Smarty)) #1 /var/www/html/piwigo/include/page_tail.php(84): Template->p() #2 /var/www/html/piwigo/index.php(371): include('/var/www/html/p...') #3 {main} thrown in /var/www/html/piwigo/include/smarty/libs/sysplugins/smarty_internal_debug.php on line 200

The site is now full of these errors. Any idea on how to fix? I have already tried purging the themes and deleted and reinstalled them to no avail.
UPDATE: I checked this morning and the themes have started working but still get those debug errors. They maybe normal. I'm not sure
Thanks

Hello
first Deprecated errors shouldn't be displayed on actual/production website: change your php config
you updated from which version? and how?
Which themes are you using?
I think first of an file error during update: re upload all files via FTP by overwriting them

You are correct about the errors, those were from debug mode and I found the problem. Not sure if it got switched off by mistake or if the upgrade did it, but the Identification menu was turned off. Thanks for the help.
