Hello,

I wonder if there's a way to choose a sub-album to illustrate parent album.

I have multiple levels in my albums and I can't control wich images are diplayed on top level albums.
Is there any option like "choisir comme représentante" for albums ?

It seems to be random and probably cached because I don't feel it changes often ^^

Piwigo version: 2.9.4

Go to the image's properties (most easily done from viewing the picture in an album and then from the Admin toolbar choose Edit -> Properties page), then in the Album thumbnail edit field pick the album(s) for which it shall appear as thumbnail, click Save settings. Done.

thanks but that's not what I'm looking for ^^

I know that functionnality for images, I want the same for an album
to set a subalbum as main "image" for the parent album

ie :
my gallery is : https://collection.phpblocnote.net/
I'd like to choose subalbum "2017" as "représentant" (don't know how it's called in english) for parent album "Barbie de Noël" so the image I choosed to illustrate "2017" will be displayed on main page (instaed of a random image from any subalbum with no control)

Then choose the same image that represents 2017 and assign it as album thumbnail to the parent album as well. Or I didn't understand your problem.

and how can I assign an image to a parent album (without copying ou moving it of course) ?

As I wrote already above, on the image's properties page in the Album thumbnail field. More than one album can be assigned there.

OK I found it
I never used that page to set a representant as there's a shortcut on image page in the gallery (not admin)
