Hello/Hi/Greetings,
Installed the plugin "PHP Captcha for Piwigo" today and it immediately broke my installation of Piwigo.
The error received is:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '.', expecting ',' or ';' in /home/aewalist/www/piwigo/plugins/phpcaptchapiwigo/phpcaptchaconfig.php on line 3
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Bill
Piwigo version: ??? (can't access Piwigo any longer)
PHP version: 5.5.38
MySQL version: 5.5.62
Piwigo URL: http://www.aewa.org/piwigo/

I may have found the problem (syntax error). the 3rd line read:
const SESSIONPATH = __DIR__.'/sessions/';
and should have read:
const SESSIONPATH = '__DIR__./sessions/';
At least I can now access Piwigo.

OK, I've regained access to my instance of Piwigo but when using this plugin the Captcha images don not validate when entered. I've deactivated this plugin until I can get it to work properly.

It might be your PHP version 5.5 is simply too old for the other syntax, it doesn't even get security updates since July 2016. If you run the latest Piwigo 2.9.4 then I recommend to upgrade to PHP 7.1 if that is available at your hoster. Even a late PHP 5.6 would already be better but still quite old.
