Hi, I am new to Piwigo, and I need some help.
Piwigo is very powerful, and I hope it can be easy acess to Chinese, but now tag is not supporting Chinese.
If the keyword in IPTC contain Chinese, tag will show garbled code.
Is there any way to make tags support Chinese(traditional) ?
thanks

Do you have an url to an example page? It would help...

In your example, the keywords do not appear to be encoded using utf-8 . We support reading data in either latin1 charset or utf-8 charset ...

I have also tried to read IPTC with exiftool and the IPTC Keywords starts with director, but then the characters are not recognized. It seems that you also have XMP metadata inside your photo and exiftool can read them, I see chinese characters : #3月27日,第24届香港电影金像奖颁奖礼举行。 (in the XMP description) is that right?

to plg, right.
I use the way of mapping keywords in IPTC to tags to make tagging easier.
just like this [Forum, topic 14847] how can i create tags on the fly? ( I tag images by using iTag http://www.itagsoftware.com/), but as you seen in the question.
And I use phpMyAdmin to modify the piwigo_tag table, then Chinese character are recognized in the Piwigo system.
if the tag can support Chinese, why can't I add Chinese tag through the Piwigo system ?
What's the problem in here ? Can I solve it ?
thanks.
