I want to create a simple page and don't need the functions like slideshow, calender, filter etc. How can I remove those icons? Please help. Thanks!

Also, is it possible not to display the picture's caption and the recent period button?

Install and activate LocalFiles Editor plugin.
In LocalFiles Editor, go to third tab (Templates).
Click on "create a new file".

Choose a name for your new template (example: "my_personal_template")
Choose model: yoga/picture.tpl
Sumbit.

Make your changes in this file.
Save file.

Go to Configuration -> Templates (in admin menubar)
Select "picture.tpl" in front of your new template extension and submit.

You can modify your template extension in LocalFiles Editor.
