subdirectory on remote site

hi. i've just installed this application for the first time, using a remote site to host my images. everything is working fine if i use the root directory of the remote site. eg. http://www.example.com, however if i move everything into a subdirectory on the remote site, eg. http://www.example.com/galleries/, i get the following error when trying to register the url :

an error happened : Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(./sess_466716abe5702dc3baed981930a08945, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in {path on remote site}/galleries/create_listing_file.php on line 1622 Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at {path on remote site}/galleries/create_listing_file.php:1622) in {path on remote site}/galleries/create_listing_file.php on line 1622 Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at {path on remote site}/galleries/create_listing_file.php:1622) in {path on remote site}/galleries/create_listing_file.php on line 1622 Notice: Undefined index: scan_action in {path on remote site}/galleries/create_listing_file.php on line 1472 Notice: Undefined index: scan_action in {path on remote site}/galleries/create_listing_file.php on line 1589 Warning: unlink({path on remote site}/galleries/create_listing_file.php.lock) [function.unlink]: No such file or directory in {path on remote site}/galleries/create_listing_file.php on line 1595 Notice: Undefined index: scan_action in {path on remote site}/galleries/create_listing_file.php on line 1604 Manage remote gallery code {font-weight: bold} img {border-style: none; vertical-align: middle} ul {list-style-image: url(http://{main url}/template/yoga/icon/add_tag.png)} .success {color: green} .warning {color: orange} .failure {color: red} .header {text-align: center; font-variant: small-caps; font-weight: bold;} .p {color: #F93;} .w {color: #ccc;} .g {color: #69C;} .pwg {text-decoration: none; border-bottom-style: dotted; border-bottom-width: 1px;} .content {width: 75%; position: absolute; top: 10%; left: 12%;} .footer {text-align: right;} .pwg_block {float: left;} Pi wi go  remote site Failure - Another script is running Powered by Piwigo

if i move everything back to the root directory and register that url again, it all works fine.

i couldn't find any previous posts with this error. is anyone able to advise what the problem is, and hopefully what the solution will be. cheers.

Re: subdirectory on remote site

That is very simple in fact.
- Lock your gallery
- Move
- By phpMyAdmin clear the piwigo_sessions table (Don't drop it! ;-) )
- Connect  http://www.example.com/galleries/identification.php
- Unlock

Re: subdirectory on remote site

hi. many thanks for the quick response. unfortunately i'm still getting the same error. i did the following :
1. locked the gallery.
2. moved images and create_listing_file.php from root to galleries directory.
3. deleted all the rows in the piwigo_sessions table.
4. logged into the gallery using identification.php and unlocked the gallery.
5. logged out and back in using index.php.
6. tried to register http://www.example.com/galleries/ as new site url.

did i miss something ?

Re: subdirectory on remote site

Come back on what you want... Maybe you are speaking about a distant site solution where you did not need it.
In fact you want to externalize the galleries subdirectory from the application... Is that right?
But where?

Do you want to have Piwigo on eg. http://www.example.com/piwigo
And only your picture on the same website but on a specific subdirectory htt://www.example.com/galleries ?

Or
Do you want to have Piwigo on eg. htt://www.example.com/
And only your picture on another website with a specific subdirectory htt://www.blahblah.com/galleries ?

Because in your first topic you were refencing the same url.

Or do you want to have piwigo in a subdirectory (my previous explanation) but you don't know how to redirect hits on your main url to your gallery url?
Please clarify, thanks.
