EnglishI have installed the piwigo netinstaller. Spent two hours, yes, I am so don't-know-what-to-do, I really can't figure out how to upload pictures.
The instruction says that you can't upload to a virtual catagory, but where to create a physical one?
I am so slow and I don't get it---how to create a physical catagory, please?

Are they missing?
Why do you need a physical category?
Anyway:
1 - FTP: create a subdirectory in ./galleries/
2 - Admin: Click on the big button "Quick Local Synchronization"
Offline
I still can't upload pictures. There's what I've done and please let me know where and which step I did wrong.
1. I created a folder, using FTP tool, under the ./gallaries, called "ABC".
2. I uploaded an image , named "HH" into the "ABC" folder.
3. I created a folder, named "thumbnail", directly under the "ABC".
4. I then uploaded a smaller size image, named "thumbnail_HH" to the "thumbnail" folder.
And oh.......................it is not working.
What did I do wrong, please?
Thank you!

First, did you read indeed the instructions ? Carefully ?
If not, this is what you did wrong.
You say "it is not working". What does not work, exactly : do you have error messages after synchronizing, or no category in your gallery... ? Many things can be described as "not working".
If you have a folder in the /galleries folder, then it is a physical category for Piwigo. Thus after synchronizing, Piwigo will tell you you have added a category.
If you have an image (.jpg or .gif (maybe some other types)) in a category, Piwigo will tell you you added an image in this category.
If for this image there is no image with the same name preceded by "TN-" (and not "thumbnail-") in a subfolder named "thumbnail" of the containing category folder, Piwigo will tell you that the image you added misses its thumbnail, in which case Piwigo is able to create it itself.
But once again, all these instructions are in the... Instructions... ; and you can find a lot of explanations in the forum thanks to the search tool.
Enjoy !
