Re: Simple Grey and piwigo 2.1

yep, I know ...
at the very beginning of the development of the theme, I removed a lot of stuff which were not essential on my opinion, including the calendar. It was less work to make the theme ;-)
But now that simple grey is widely used, I know I should make the calendar work, but I tried one time and didn't manage to do it. I will try again, one day ...

Version 2.2 is there:
* fix the calendar's pages
* update picture.tpl (download, favorites, metadata, rating, votes)
* change the way to hide blocks  in JS, without <noscript>, thanks to VDigital
  & nicolas
* update jquery to 1.4.2
* now on github: http://github.com/saimn/simple-grey

Re: Simple Grey and piwigo 2.1

Hi all,

I've got an issue with this great theme concerning the max width of image display.

Whatever I set in the menu "personnaliser" as maximum width, it always remains 680 pixels.
I noticed this major issue with simple grey and simple dark themes.

Are you already aware of it ?

Re: Simple Grey and piwigo 2.1

yes, the reason why is that simple is designed with a min-width of 900px, which allows images of 680px max-width.
If you want to use wider images, you have to edit 2 things:

Code:

content.css (line 34)
#the_page {
min-width:900px;
}

themeconf.inc.php:
$user['maxwidth'] = 680;

I though that with the menu "personnaliser" it was posible to override the maxwidth value ....

Re: Simple Grey and piwigo 2.1

Hi,
I'm using Piwigo 2.1.3 and have
theme Simple Gray 2.2 and Simple Black 2.1a (which is derived from Simple Gray).
I'm using Lightbox2.1.b.

I like the theme simple black. It is derived from simple (grey) theme. I found one problem when plugin lightbox is activated. When simple (grey) theme (or other themes) is active then lightbox works, when gallery is switched to simple black or white then it works as if lightbox isn't active (opens standard picture page).
I found one difference in value of href in element a of thumbnails. When it is simple black, href is /pic_id/gallery/gal_id. When there are other themes (simple grey,...) then it is absolute URL path of the picture on server.
Can you find out what causes it? I tried but wasn't successful.

Thank you, Pab

Re: Simple Grey and piwigo 2.1

Problem detected and discussed with P@t, author of [extension by P@t] Lightbox, we need a new version of the plugin. The "simple" themes needs a specific jQuery selector for thumbnails and the lightbox plugin only detects "simple" and not its children.

Re: Simple Grey and piwigo 2.1

Thanks to P@t, we have created a new version 2.1.e for Lightbox plugin. Now it works with Simple Black :-)

and one more question:
my users   see  error messages (f.e. "reg_err_mail_address") in english,
how can i translate it into russian?

it is now possible to translate the string "Show/hide menu" (mouse over the menu link), see [Github] simple-grey file language/en_UK/theme.lang.php
but for the reg_err_mail_address, I don't know which string it is, it must come from piwigo itself I think.

Re: Simple Grey and piwigo 2.1

version 2.5 is available to fix issues with pwg 2.3 : http://fr.piwigo.org/ext/extension_view … 21#rev3121

I also removed the hard limits on the width of images (720px) and use media-queries to put things on one columns for small screens (< 960px)
