[resolved] Embedding Piwigo into a Wordpress page

Tags: [2.2]

Hi there,

I am in the process of creating a custom Wordpress template to embed a Piwigo gallery into a Wordpress page.  I have it functioning pretty well with the exception of logging in.  That works fine for my purpose.  The second part of this project is to create a custom Piwigo theme that does not include the <header> section and the DOCTYPE declaration.  I have started with the theme and removed the necessary elements from the templates, but there is still a DOCTYPE and <header> tags in the output.  Is Piwigo trying to protect against poorly made themes?  How can I suppress these elements?

I found that the problem exists outside of Piwigo.  Piwigo is not adding any tags but the PHP DOM elements I am using in my template are.

Hi djsmeltzer,

Nice to see you've solved your problem. Please show us the result of your WordPress/Piwigo integration once it's done :-)

Yes, please do. I am also keen to integrate Piwigo with Wordpress.
