Tried admintools/update and it said I was running the latest version. Did the upgrade by hand:

- there is a directory called "<whitespace>data" which required attention to delete by hand (from the command line)

- upgrade.php just said my database structure was up to date, a link to forward me to my galleries would have been a nice touch.

Other than that, and as far as I can tell, it seems to work as well as RC2 did.

EDIT: make explicit what was being updated.

your are not supposed to delete de directory "_data" it's used by html, js, css and images cache

The instructions say

Remove all files of your current Piwigo installation, with the following exceptions, do NOT delete these directories:

galleries
upload
plugins
template-extension
local

On the command line I could see _data so I deleted it, but as I copied over the new one from RC3 I didn't immediately notice. Add one more to the list above perhaps.

Just to make it clear for all readers: for now (2.4.0RC3) you can't upgrade from 2.3.x to 2.4.
