[resolved] pLoader 'Private' permission

Would it be possible to add an option in pLoader to select 'Private' permission for new albums?

(I think I read this from someone else but I can't find it.  Is there a pLoadeer forum section?)

No, it's not possible (and it's not planned to change pLoader in the near future).

If an album is private, when you create a sub-album, it is automatically private.

You can ask that all new albums are private (advanced configuration).

Thanks, I hadn't really realised that about sub-albums.
Can you tell me how to set all new albums as private within piwigo.com please?

As to pLoader, I like it a lot but it has a few quirks and possible improvements.
Are you planning a version 2.0 in the future and where should we put in requests?

You can't do it by yourself. I have added this to your advanced configuration:

Code:

<?php
$conf['newcat_default_status'] = 'private';
?>

There is no version 2.0 planned. pLoader 1.6 was released 2 years ago and the software has received no modification since then. Ron, the developer of pLoader, works on other projects (outside Piwigo). pLoader works quite well, there are a few know bugs but no blocking bug.

Quel dommage!

Nowadays you can find many alternatives to pLoader: Lightroom, iPhoto, Shotwell, Aperture, digiKam... In Piwigo 2.4, see [Administration > Photos > Add > Applications].

Right, I will investigate.  I am currently trying the Flash Loader with multiple images selected in one go which looks good.  It is comparable to the Pikfu loader.
Applications I might like to load from in the long term are Corel's AfterShot Pro and possibly PaintShop Pro which I use for Raw Conversion and editing of images.

I wonder if anyone is looking into creating a plug-in for the Canon DPP?
