Since I update to Piwigo 2.4 I have problems with the metatags. The tags will be not updated anymore in the right way.
I will give a an overview of the issue in some Screenshots:
Screenshot 1) Upload a new photo from Lightroom with the tag "Black & White"
Screenshot 2) in piwigo appear the right Tags
Screenshot 3) Now I have changed the keyword/tag and update the photo.
Screenshot 4) the new tag was ADDED the photo but the old tag was not deleted from the photo (database). How you can see, now are to much tags on the poto (the odl and the new).
Screenshot 5) If I download the photo from piwigo an check the tags inside the photo, then I see that the tags inside the photo are absolutely correct (just the "Flowers" tag are inside the photo. So it looks like, the problem is definitive inside piwigo how the tags are read an saved an updated in the database.
Screenshot 6) I also try to update manual the tags with the function "Synchronize metadata", but it also doesn't work.
What is the reason for this problem an how can I avoid it?
Thanks for your support.
Best greetings

Hi have your tried to purge the compilated template in the maintenance ?
How did you update the photo? Via lightroom ? The synch tool works only for files under /galleries

Hi flop25,
thanks for your quick response. Yes, normally I upload photos with Lightroom. But I also tried to upload some photos manual with the flash uploader the same problem appears. I also try the Update the tags manual but without success. What can I do?
Thanks for your support!

In the batch Manager there is an action called "Synchronize metadata". Is that what you're taking about?

Yes, this is what I mean! "Synchronize metadata" in the batch Manager or in single photo.
I can send you a test account to check the problem! Just send me a private message

I found the solution: After the update of piwigo 2.4 the standard setting for meta synchronization was deactivated. In the config_default.inc.php I had to activate the values:
// use_iptc: Use IPTC data during database synchronization with files
// metadata
$conf['use_iptc'] = true;
// use_exif: Use EXIF data during database synchronization with files
// metadata
$conf['use_exif'] = true;
Now the "Synchronize metadata" function and the meta import from Lightroom works perfect!!

Photo_Friend,
How did you add the tag to the photo in Lighroom so that it was seen by Piwigo.
I thought Lightroom only added tags in Lightroom on the PC or in an xmp file stored with the photo.
Would appreciate knowing what you did.
Thanks

Great news. I was ready to try this afternoon to see what was wrong. But I think I would never think of that conf variables ^^
@pewe when you publish, you can configure the publication to delete or not the metadata (All, copyright only etc)

Thanks Flop. I just figured you meant the 'publish' in the LR Piwigo plug-in.
Rather than clutter this thread I have started a new one regarding Keywords.
