XMP tags

Piwigo doesn't seem to use the XMP tags saved by Digikam. Is this right or am I missing something?

How do I get Piwigo to import these tags?

Re: XMP tags

Currently, only [extension by grum] Advanced Metadata handles XMP metadata (but this plugin doesn't fill the photo properties yet, they are stored in a distinct data model)

Re: XMP tags

I was going to post a separate request, but I guess this post is similar enough.  I love the exif extension (Advanced Metadata plugin) and the tag cloud is very nice too.  I would love to see both of these leveraged by directly importing exif data as tags.  This would allow filtering based on so many parameters such as lens used, camera used, etc., without the user having to re-create these tags in Piwigo.

Re: XMP tags

I'd like to submit a feature request to have the option to import XMP tags into Piwigo.

Windows Photo Gallery saves tags to XMP, and it preferred to save the tags to the photos and not a separate database so it can be used across programs and platforms.

Windows:
1. MSDN - People Tagging Overview
2. MSDN Blogs - METADATA AND THE WINDOWS VISTA PHOTO GALLERY

Here's a similar request with more detail at ZenPhoto:
XMP tag support « zenphoto forums

Thanks.

Re: XMP tags

It would be very useful to have xmp tags at piwigo, it should be easy to integrate (code wise).

Face tagging could be imported from picasa also other meta data.
The advanced metadata plugin isn´t working (not updated) :(

Piwigo lacks of some really easy to include features for bigger galleries (manual retagging of ~30000 pictures that already tagged - waste of time).

A outcome of this would be a "show pictures where Name is tagged" feature.

Re: XMP tags

I dig an old thread :p

Picasa include an option to include the facetag information directly in the XMP metadata.
Is there a way, a tool or a plugins to include these informations during the synchronisation ?

For example, here we have the facetag ("region") information.

<mwg-rs:Regions rdf:parseType="Resource">
     <mwg-rs:AppliedToDimensions stDim:w="4928" stDim:h="3264" stDim:unit="pixel"/>
     <mwg-rs:RegionList>
         <rdf:Bag>
            <rdf:li>
                <rdf:Description mwg-rs:Name="Jean Pierre Boulard" mwg-rs:Type="Face">
                <mwg-rs:Area stArea:x="0.50558" stArea:y="0.432445" stArea:w="0.458807" stArea:h="0.831189" stArea:unit="normalized"/>
                </rdf:Description>
            </rdf:li>
        </rdf:Bag>
    </mwg-rs:RegionList>
</mwg-rs:Regions>

Thanks.

Re: XMP tags

Maybe Plugin Picture2Piwigo would fit your needs... does it?
