Removing Map Area-Overlay for Images on Picture Page (Theme default)

Hey

I'm talking about the added <map name="maplarge"> Overlays that allows you
to click on the image border to get to the previous/next/top image.

Since I've added a pure CSS image resize it messed up my map-overlay. As the
keyboard cursor-left/right navigation works well I would not need the overlay.

Soo is there a best-way to disable it
(I know, the temptation to fix it instead is creeping around ;) )

css image resize

themes/default/picture.tpl:

<div id="theImage" >
{$ELEMENT_CONTENT}
</div>

local/css/elegant-rules.css:

#thePicturePage #theImage IMG {
    border: 1px solid black;
    height: auto;
    width: 70%;
}

cheers

Re: Removing Map Area-Overlay for Images on Picture Page (Theme default)

This is the mother of all necrobumps but since I can't email kyp_ directly I will see if he is still active and can reply.

Have the exact same issue, looking for the exact same solution.  As a noob I sometimes struggle with the terseness of the doc.  It is great as a reference if you know what you are looking for, but not as a learning tool.  Not a complaint, given what we pay for Piwigo it is great.

In any case, if the OP or someone else could clue me in how to remove those pesky <map>s and save me a few nights I would be eternally greatful.  I have read the docs, looked through the templates section of the locafiles editor and am still at a loss.  Google is not much help either
