Gallery 3 import failed

Hello/Hi/Greetings,

Moving from G3 to Piwigo, and trying to sync my first dataset.

I copied all of of /var/albums to /galleries inside my piwigo folder.

When I try to import I get the following failure:

http://pastebin.com/fQLXRCnr

It passes the simulation import.

Any thoughts?

Re: Gallery 3 import failed

I think I figured it out...

Even though I have the regex setup, the import into the DB still doesn't like my "  '   " characters.

Re: Gallery 3 import failed

I sumbled upon this gallery software searching for a replacement for GALLERY 2.

Any idea if this will work to import my older G2 install?

Thanks. I like this gallery software so far.

And I did !

The only problem I had was some SQL database issues that were resolved.

Any idea if I can preserve my view counts with a plugin or other method?

Re: Gallery 3 import failed

I didn't do the G2 to piwi, but my counts did come across from G3.

The only issue I had/have/continue to have is my sort order.

Piwi sees EVERYTHING as created on the same date (since I did the import)... so, my ability to sort by date doesn't work.

Yeah I've given up on retaining the view counts. I'm going to keep the original G2 gallery up as an archival site vs trying to import everything.  The view counts and rating are important to my ego :)

I like piwigo though. It looks like I'll be using this.  Theres a few qwerks like, having to use FTP to delete an album is weird, but The import worked better than I thought it would.

Everything else I was seeing was too bubbly and designed for 9th grade girls.

ETA: The import DOES show create date of the image, as well as the import date though..........For me.
