pLoader crashes when uploading images

Hi,

I am trying to upload a large number of images using pLoader but when I try to add them the program crashes (pop and its gone).

I can add a few hundred pictures but when I add 3,500 it crashes (in total I want to add 10,000 pictures at 36GB).

Is there a limit to the maximum number or size of images I can add to pLoader?

Thanks

Re: pLoader crashes when uploading images

I would be really grateful for any help with this matter. Is this a known issue with Ploader?

Re: pLoader crashes when uploading images

Thanks for letting me know. Is there another standalone progeam for uploading to Piwigo? Otherwise I will use a Perl script but that is not ideal

Re: pLoader crashes when uploading images

why don't you use the web uploader?

Re: pLoader crashes when uploading images

The web based uploader won’t allow me to simultaneously upload multiple folders is not ideal for my requirements.
Unless... is there a way to simultaneously upload multiple folders with the web loader?

pLoader also seemed a quick and easy way to metatag images.

Re: pLoader crashes when uploading images

about exif/iptc, you just need to have a good local configuration set as your needs
you cans till open several tab/windows in your browser; never tried but I don't see any reason to not work

Re: pLoader crashes when uploading images

Just to clarify – having several tabs/windows in my browser will help me to metatag images? About uploading - is it not possible to use the web uploader to upload multiple folders simultaneously (a whole nested folder structure)?

Re: pLoader crashes when uploading images

no that was to upload to several albums "once" During one page is uploading to one album you open a new tab and upload to another album etc etc

Re: pLoader crashes when uploading images

If you want to upload "folders", then try [wiki] Piwigo Import Tree

Re: pLoader crashes when uploading images

Thank for all your advice. I am looking at Piwigo Import Tree at the moment but it is not the most user friendly as you have to use cmd prompt and currently I am the only person on the team with Perl installed.

Re: pLoader crashes when uploading images

As I am getting Perl driven import working I have also taken another look at the browser based upload. The problem I have experienced with the browser based upload is that no more than 999 images can be uploaded at once. Is there any way to get around this issue?
