Hello/Hi/Greetings,

I reported the following bug, and proposed a PATCH :

[Bugtracker] ticket 3158

First: I mis-classified it as "plugin", and don't have permission to re-classify it. Can anyone either fix the classification or give me more permission on the bugtracker so that I can fix my mistakes?

More importantly: my patch is probably not very good, I'm looking for reviewers to help me polish it.
