In [Subversion] r26971 you introduced width:990px on .browsePath. It seems to work fine on Firefox/Chrome but it is a problem on MacOSX Safari : you can click on buttons of #imageToolBar (such as size selector).
Furthermore, I see no effect of jBreadCrumb :-/

I reproduce but that might be better to revert all that "feature" and I or someone else comes with a better js/idea/implementation

everything added is related to browsePath (css and js) We can let the js file and remove the css php and tpl codes
