Reworking templates editor

Hello team

what about :
1. moving custom templates files to "local/templates"
2. removing distributed templates (completely outdated)
3. thus deleting "template-extension" folder

also any idea how the screen admin.php?page=extend_for_templates could be improved (there was a discution long ago...) ?
do "Optional URL keyword" is ever used ?

Re: Reworking templates editor

Hi
I'm not really sure about moving

"Optional URL keyword" is really used with permalink essentially

do you wish to redesign or really put TE as extensions (updates, thumbnails, compatibility list, etc) ?

I'm not really sure about moving

that's compliant with the idea of centralizing all customizations in one folder (easy backup)

Re: Reworking templates editor

(I had never seen this topic, sorry)

I'm OK with the 3 propositions. As you may know, I don't like the template-extensions, but some users (who are very confident in their technical skills and ability to adapt their custom templates to new versions of Piwigo) are still using them. For me it's a very advanced and dangerous feature.

I would like to have a $conf['enable_template_extensions']. I would even like to set it to false by default :-) (not because Piwigo.com don't use them but because I really think template-extensions are problematic and dangerous if not used by users who really know what they do).
