Piwigo iOS version 2.0, beta-test - Search features
To handle a big gallery with more than 80.000 photos it's important to have a search function. This means specially for tags, file name & image title.
Maybe it's no so easy to realize, but this would be essential to browse thru the gallery and find something.

Excellent!
The search function should should be implemented in two ways:
1) A general search function over all - the whole piwigo gallery
2) The search option for the album you has right now open. Imagine you open a album with 1250 photos and you would like to display just the photos with a specific tag in this specific album. It's important to make bigger album / galleries accessible.

No progress yet. Sorry, I've been busy the last couple of weeks.
I also need to figure out the UI for this. Got any ideas on where to put it?

Hello Hoser,
here some ideas and requirements:
- I would place a magnifying glass icon on top next to the "select" and "upload" button
- I should be possible to search in the whole gallery or just in the current album. This is quite important I have a large gallery with more than thousand albums and sometimes one album contains more then 500 photo.
- The search parameter should be for: Filename, Photo titel, Tags, date
- For each of the Filename and Photo titel it should be possible to use operators like "+", phrase ("), asterisk "*".
- For tages it should be possible to have a auto complete function based on the used tags
- for the date it should be possible to use a "from - to" or "before" or "Later" option with a calendar
I know this are a lot of requirements, but on the end it worth. Also check the app "flickStackr" - this app has a great usability and a lot of search functions.
I also would recommend to take make money for the app. Make a free version like it is and add all the improvements and requirements from the forum in a paid version. I think 4,99 or 9,99 are a fair price.
