Hello/Hi/Greetings,
I am receiving the following message when I try to send an email notification. The same thing happens when a new person registers:
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

**delete e-mail**
host productio-tcloadba-tkyjfaz4ap1l-328615543.us-west-2.elb.amazonaws.com [54.244.227.230]
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
550 5.7.1 [BFD] Sender prohibited by SPF
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

After many hours with my host provider, we figured out that the Piwigo application takes the sending email address from the email address of the webmaster of the domain. I had my Piwigo webmaster email address as dnmuxo@hotmail.com (my email address). Once I changed it to dnmuxo@ancestorsetc.com, the domain that my Piwigo installation is on, everything worked like a charm.
I put this information here for anyone who might have the same problem. I wish that the documentation had mentioned that the email address of the webmaster had to be on the domain that the Piwigo installation is on. If that is not the case, then there is a bug to be fixed.
you mean this local config? [Github] Piwigo file include/config_default.inc.php@L280

That's only true on hosts with agressive email policy.
