Hosting Piwigo

Hello/Hi/Greetings from Peter,

I an considering to move my photo's to the hosting-services of Piwigo. At the moment I have an www.abc.nl adres wich revers to my webserver with a test environment of Piwigo. In the case of moving to Piwigo hosting I guess I will get something like : www.piwigo/etc/etc.Peter.org or any other long adres. Is it possible and allowed to link or forward through my Webhost that is use my www.peter.nl to this Piwigo hosting adres ?  So I am still able to use my www.peter.nl instead of long other for family not understandables like www. piwigo/etc/etc/xyz
Thanks Peter de Bruin

Re: Hosting Piwigo

Hello
you are a bite confused here ; piwigo.com is a service where instances of piwigo are installed and managed by a private company. contact them directly
if you have your own server/hosting and your domain, you can install piwigo wherever you want on your server/hosting. Moreover Piwigo can be moved after installation because it doesn't rely on the url or the path

Re: Hosting Piwigo

I read this on your site:  At $3.25/mo get a photo gallery at Piwigo.com, the hosting made for Piwigo. unquote which gave me the impression that your company did the hosting. Any idea who to contact maybe? Thanks

Re: Hosting Piwigo

Thank PLG I will contact them asap.  The question for an template came as I wanted to have a quickstart. Believe that other initial users would like to have the same. I have been working with Piwigo earlier some two years ago with Dreamweaver and PHP see : www.lamantijn.nl  So HTML is not the point it's a matter of convenience. Why invent if it's already there.  Thanks anyway for your quick responses, Peter
