For all the great software, as a newbie on the site, I notice that Piwigo logo is butt ugly. Perhaps you want to run a logo contest seeking entries from the community. I am sure there are many creative types using Piwigo who'd be happy to contribute...

I do like it too and logo contest are ways to get a work for free instead of paying a designer. I do not like this approach

Hmm...the whole concept of open source is around people donating their work. It's an opportunity for a designer to earn props. But whatever...

If the logo is this http://piwigo.org/screenshots/piwigo_org_logo.png then the only thing I might have to say about it is that it seems to assume only photographers use Piwigo, which in my case, simply is not true. I host Youtube videos, ingame screenshots, concept art, inspired art, but the only photos I can think of would be stills from videos.

Having said that, I have no real opinion about the logo as such.

I don't see it as ugly. The logo itself speak what piwigo is all about.

I agree with @plg @flop25 @omkarsoft and others who like the logo + I'm so used to it that would recognize Piwigo brand everywhere.
