Release 2.8.4? Is it true?

Just one short question; Where do I find release notes about 2.8.4?

There is no mention of it anywhere, even the website says last version still is 2.8.3 ... makes me doubtful.

And I think I'm going to push a release 2.8.5 and then make an announcement.

Matthys has a legitimate concern.  In the current talk of hacks and system intrusions, how did we not know the Piwigo release system was compromised and pushing some ransomware out to everybodys system?  Nothing says there was a 2.8.4,and usually there is some heads up (for the people who care).

Knowing Piwigo is a program someone would put all of their irreplaceable pictures, and probably didn't make a backup (i bet a significant amount of people do not do a backup at least once a week). If I were a POS person and did ransomware, I would consider targeting Piwigo.

Re: Release 2.8.4? Is it true?

Thanks for the clarification ....

Piwigo itself says there is an update but no words on the website itself.
This made me think ... is it true, is there a real update, and if so ... what are the changes???

So .. I better can wait for 2.8.5 then .... as I'm not worried about the phpmailer bug.

I guess an announcement would be "nice", at least something like: please update to 2.8.4 regarding PHP mailer bug.
