Hi,
I'm trying to use Contact Form, but when I send a message, I am redirected to a white page and the email is not sent. I've checked the email address in the plugin configuration. It's the good one.
Has anyone experienced this?
Piwigo version: 2.9
PHP version: 5.4.16

Hello
Is your Piwigo correctly sending email for notification and account creation?
Can you check the server log and/or any error_log file (usually produced by PHP)?
weird that the server answers with a HTTP 200

I have just fixed a similar issue. On your page [Administration > Plugins > Contact Form > tab "Emails"], make sure you have no "category" selected for your recipient list.

My Piwigo never sent any email. I have nothing in the server logs when sending an email.
I have a maillog file with many lines "did not issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to MTA", but these lines aren't written when trying to send an email.
I have no "category" selected on the Contact Form page and there is no existing "category".

Is the email sent using the PHP mail function?
If I make a simple page sending an email, the mail function returns true, but the mail is not sent to a Gmail address. I tried with another mail provider and it worked. So I tried to change the email address in Piwigo to this other provider and it still doesn't work.

After debugging, I've seen that the script was stuck at $xmlDocument = new DOMDocument;
I could fix it installing php-xml. The script now passes this line, but I still have the white page. Can I find somewhere a list of dependancies to install or will I have to spend hours debugging to find it by myself?

Hello
to be fair that's part of your responsibilities as a system administrator, and to be honest even Wordpress doesn't list them, since the required module comes in all shared web hosting and in many LAMP tutorials (php-mysql php-gd php-imap php-ldap php-odbc php-pear php-xml php-xmlrpc + php_json if not included)
