Hi Hagen,
Thanks for confirming that this issue is fixed.
The iOS app uses the URL of the original image and downloads a copy of the original file. I've checked and indeed you are right: the downloaded image contains not much metadata. Hum… I did not expect that because the iOS app simply stores the downloaded image in Photos.
I report this issue on GitHub and will see how to manage that.
Thanks for raising that point ;-)

Hello!
I have test today Piwigo 2.1.4 (72) for iOS. I have still the problem, that if I download a photo over the app, the file contains NO metadata information at all. It makes it more difficult to work with the photo in any galleries, apps or on the desktop.
Do you think you can have a look on it?
Thanks so much for your support!

Hello,
I'm looking into this and a fix should come with the next version 2.1.5.
In fact, I am re-coding the app to exploit the modern Photos SDK provided by Apple. The very preliminary version uploads/downloads properly metadata of photos and videos but there are still issues with Live Photos and Slo-Mo videos for the moment.
Stay tuned ;-)
