Moving Piwigo.

Hi,
Some time I have set up a piwigo gallery(I think it was v2.8) on VPS server (deb7u1) with MySQL DB (5.5.47) hosted along with that server in some "cloud"

After that I had to move out from this hosting.
Befor moving out I created physical backup of:
/.../piwigo/upload/ folder (all images are here)
/.../piwigo/galleries folder (this one is empty as only www form was used to import images)
MySQL database with mysqldump --all-databases option.

Now I am trying to revitalize gallery with newest piwigo, and mysql version hosted on local server.

Problem with old gallery is that, all piwigo configuration and data were kept in "mysql" database.
"piwigo" database existed, but is empty, as I can see in dump file.
New piwigo gallery is installed correctly - with its own db named "piwigo".

Is there a way to import correctly album data from this old DB into new installation?
I am looking for best way to recreate album structures and content in new gallery.

Piwigo version: 2.9.2
PHP version: 7.0.19-1
MySQL version:  (mariadb-server-10.1     10.1.26-0+deb9u1)

Re: Moving Piwigo.

Hello
when you import the .sql file it may contain the USE DATABASE statement http://beginner-sql-tutorial.com/sql-use-database.htm . If that's the case just delete it: without it, the tables will go to the database you selected in your Mysql manager

Re: Moving Piwigo.

Hi, of course I can import tables that way to my database of choice, but how can I be sure that database created for piwigo over a year ago has all required tables for current version?
I do not want to mess up fresh install of piwigo by manually overwriting tables.

Re: Moving Piwigo.

well just use the files from the version of your database then update
BUT Php 7 will be an issue, so use a Php<7 environment

Re: Moving Piwigo.

Thanks.
PHP 7 is not recommended for piwigo 2.9.2 (or newer)?
