Today Piwigo presented me with upgrades available for extensions, [extension by plg] Download Counter and [extension by VDigital] Whois Online, updating Download Counter worked seamlessly, updating Whois Online refuses to do anything but display an uninformative "ERROR an error occurred" notification, both with the Update all button and the Install link.

Piwigo version: 2.9.3
PHP version: 5.6

As the only relevant change seems to be the new use of pwg_db_real_escape_string() at three places (plus some translations) I unzipped the archive manually overwriting existing files and it works.

Remarkable might be that there's a new file whois_online/obsolete.list with content

language/no_NO/
language/no_NO/index.php
language/no_NO/plugin.lang.php
language/no_NO/description.txt

The language/no_NO/ directory does not exist in the old version either, just to mention in case the updater attempts to remove that and fails on it..
