Password Changed But Never Accepted

Hello/Hi/Greetings,

I changed my Piwigo password two ways: 1. via the forgot your password link, and 2. as an administrator in the user management portion of Piwigo. In both cases, the new password does not work. How do I create a working password? This is an Administrative user, if that makes a difference.

Piwigo version: 2.9.3
PHP version: 5.6.33
MySQL version: 5.5.5-10.1.32-MariaDB [2018-04-16 21:03:12]

Re: Password Changed But Never Accepted

This is the error message I get after submitting the credentials

This is the message I get when my credentials are not accepted: mydomain is requesting your username and password. The site says: “bokeh”

If I click cancel, I get this message:
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.

Additionally, a 401 Unauthorized error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Re: Password Changed But Never Accepted

Hello
"The site says: “bokeh”"
?!?

is it a additional windows popping "physically" outside the webpage like the one I've attached?

If Yes that means your server behave on its own: when sending the credentials (wrong or not), the page is sent to identification.php. But here I bet your password is okay, but you can't access to that login page due to a weird server config (safety module?, htaccess too restrictive?...): try to access it (you should have a form like here http://piwigo.org/demo/identification.php )
