Howdy,
On my piwigo 2.9 gallery, plugin Charlie's content 3.0.1 is indicating that it is not compatible with this version of piwigo. I tried deleting and reloading it and no change in the warning.
Is there away to fix this?
Thanks,
f3red

Looks like the "current" version is 3.1.1 and it's marked compatible with 2.9.

That’s what I understand, too. But every time I try to update it it comes back as 3.0.1. I even deleted it and reinstalled - same result!
UPDATE: I deleted it from my Piwigo, then downloaded it from from Charlie's plugin site, and ftp'd it to my Piwigo and it STILL is displayed as 3.0.1! Huh?

I took a look and it's because the plug-in author updated the version number on the Piwigo plug-in site but did NOT update the version number in the main.inc.php file in the plug-in itself (it still shows 3.0.1). So you are probably running the most current version, but since there's a discrepancy in the version number in the file and the plug-in database, Piwigo will continue to think there's an update available.

Windracer, thanks for this extra information. I’ll go try it (after the grandkids leave tomorrow) and post my results.
Cheers!

If you want to prevent the update message, just edit main.inc.php in the plug-in's folder. In the header portion, change the Version line to read "Version: 3.1.1" (you could update the name too):
Plugin Name: Charlie's content 3.0.1 Version: 3.0.1 Description: Charlies content is a global solution for none picture files.

Thanks for that. Now I no longer get the version conflict warning...
wait for it...
I still seem to have the problem that PDF files do not get displayed - I get a PDF symbol for the thumbnail in the containing album, but when I click on it I do not see the content. I'm pretty sure it used to work. What am I overlooking?

Sorry, I don't actually use this plug-in so I can't help you there. :(

Dang! Maybe I need to start a new thread, with a more apropos title...
However, I do appreciate your help, and helpful nature.

I have found that, with great finesse and precision, I have shot myself precisely in the foot!
Wanting to gather more information before throwing myself on the mercy of the Forum once again, I tested the display of a PDF document from the Piwigo gallery using Chrome (I normally use FireFox), and it worked just fine! So I went into my FF configuration, and found that I had changed what it does with PDF files to "always ask" rather than "preview in FF." After changing this back, it worked as I wanted it to! Amazing!!!
Cheers!
